Council steps in over 'absolute disaster' project at former Bristol pool

Bristol City Council could be taking over a controversial building project at a former swimming baths, after the firm failed to meet another completion deadline.

Chatsworth Homes should have finished redeveloping the former Bristol North Baths two years ago - into homes, a health centre and a library.

Millions of pounds of tax payers' money has been loaned to the firm. Now, after another missed deadline, the council says it is stepping in, to what Mayor George Ferguson told us has been "an absolute disaster" so far. He said he has issued an ultimatum to the company:

Chatsworth Homes says it has secured new funding, and is still committed to completing the project.
