Josh Wills comes home: bespoke care allows 15 year old boy to return to Cornwall
A severely autistic boy from Cornwall previously forced to live 260 miles away from his family is to finally return home today.
Josh Wills has a condition which means he sometimes self harms and needs specialist round the clock care which wasn't available in Cornwall.
It meant his family have been making the long trip to Birmingham every weekend to see him.
His family were determined to bring Josh back home, and set up a campaign and petition to get a suitable care package created for him in Cornwall - this has now been successful.
Cornwall Council and NHS Kernow CCG have set up a home for him near Hayle where a team of carers will be able to look after him, and he can also spend time with his family.
He's due to settle into his new home this week.
