A woman from Cornwall makes toy dolls 'less sexy'
A woman from Redruth is giving toy fashion dolls a makeover because she believes they're "too sexualised".
Bee Hale has been altering dolls as a hobby for decades but is now turning the idea into a business.
She takes dolls commonly found in high street shops and removes their make-up and clothes to give them a more innocent look.
Bee gives second-hand dolls a makeover using pencils and chalks and creates new shoes and outfits for them.
She also does commissions that look like real children, sometimes with birth marks or scars. She's even considering dolls with no hair to help children going through chemotherapy.
Bee says she has struggled with her own body image in the past and felt she couldn't relate to toy dolls herself.
She now hopes to raise money for children's charities by auctioning the dolls and donating some of her creations.
