Over the last 30 years, a forest of trees has hidden the picturesque Wellington Monument from sight - but now the National Trust is felling hundreds of them to restore the hillside to open land.

We sent our aerial camera to get a bird's-eye view of the landscape.

By clearing the canopy, the National Trust's warden tells us how they're planning to restore the hillside and views to how they were a few decades ago.

The Wellington Monument is one of the the highest points of the Blackdown Hills and stands proud above Somerset.

The tower was once open to the public, to allow visitors to climb to the top and peer from the peephole, but fears over the structure's stability meant it has to be closed.

Here's another clip from our aerial camera - to get across the sheer beauty of this part of the world.
