Two parent and child parking spaces at a supermarket in Stroud have been cordoned off - because of the danger of falling conkers:

A horse chestnut tree above the two spaces is currently dropping its crop of conkers and store managers have decided they are a safety hazard.

The sign says "Due to falling conkers these 2 spaces are closed until further notice. We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
