There have been emotional scenes in North Devon today, as hundreds of people waved goodbye to the RAF.

A Flight 22 Squadron was due to have ended its 60-year operation at Chivenor today, but will now continue for another week, as the private company taking over the Search and Rescue service has faced a delay.

Today, however, was the last time the public could guarantee seeing the helicopter.

People told us they were determined to show their support for the team which had been "supporting us for all these years".
