Bristol's vegan MP goes down on the farm
A Bristol MP and vegan campaigner who said meat eaters should be treated the same as smokers and encouraged to stop - has told ITV News that people should be more aware of the risks.
Kerry McCarthy's comments have sparked a furious reaction amongst many in the farming industry, not least because she's just been appointed shadow environment secretary.
Today the Bristol East MP visited a Gloucestershire farm where a trip on a tractor was quite a departure from her urban life. The farmer, Jake Freestone invited her through social media.
It was here, down on the farm, that our reporter Richard Payne asked about her comments on meat and whether it should be compared to smoking.
