Find out what it takes for HMS Bulwark to prepare for its missions
The Royal Navy conducted an amphibious landing exercise off the coast of Cornwall involving the Plymouth-based warships HMS Ocean and HMS Bulwark.
It involved moving troops from the ships to the shore to make sure crew are ready to respond to missions at very short notice.
This is one of several training exercises preparing for Exercise Trident Juncture in the Mediterranean, the largest NATO exercise held in about 20 years.
The aim is to keep the Royal Navy’s skills current for whatever the UK Government asks the Navy to do.
