Army pays tribute to soldier killed on night out in Redruth
The Army has paid tribute to a soldier believed to be the youngest to serve in Afghanistan, after he was murdered on the streets of Redruth.
Dave Curnow was posted to Helmand province in March 2013, just days after turning 18.
He arrived several weeks behind his regiment after being forced to wait for his birthday and survived a six month tour.
But he tragically lost his life on a night out in Redruth at the weekend.
The 20 year-old was a member of 4 Rifles and his commanding officer described him as a brave and competent soldier.
