Gargan's superintendents voted overwhelmingly against him
It has been revealed to ITV that 24 out of 25 Avon and Somerset police superintendents voted 'no confidence' in Nick Gargan.
The embattled chief constable has been asked to resign by the region's Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens, after being found guilty of eight charges of misconduct.
The PCC used powers under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act (section 38), due to a lack of confidence by local people, police officers and staff.
