Two Afghanistan veterans are preparing to take on some of the world's best disabled sailors in their first international competition.

Steve Palmer and Craig Wood will be competing in the world championships in France in a boat provided by Wiltshire Charity Help For Heroes.

Steve Palmer lost both legs to a road side bomb in Afghanistan and so did Craig Wood, who also lost his left arm. Liam Cattermole is partially sighted.

Next month they'll be up against the very best disabled sailors in the world-championships in France in their first international competition.

Steve Palmer, of the Royal Engineers, told us:

The team is asking for the public's help however, and has organised a competition to name the boat. The chosen name will go across the back of the boat.

You can enter via the Help for Heroes Facebook page. Their Sports Recovery programme has helped hundreds of wounded servicemen overcome their injuries.
