RWC 2015 to boost local ecomony
Rugby fans all over the country are eagerly awaiting the start of the Rugby World Cup...but it's not just sports enthusiasts who will benefit this autumn.
For those venues hosting some of the matches, like Gloucester's Kingsholm stadium it will provide a welcome boost to the local economy.
When the Rugby World Cup arrives in Gloucester this autumn it will put the city and Gloucester rugby club at the heart of the action.
Hosting the rugby world cup is not just huge for Kingsholm, because the roar of the crowd will reverberate way beyond the stadium walls out into the city where there will be cheers for the boost that the event is giving Gloucester.
Whether you run a pub or a hotel, the matches which will take place here are already boosting business.
The council is even spending money to make the city more attractive, with plans to give some of its uglier buildings a makeover.
For Gloucester rugby club, hosting some of the Rugby World Cup matches will be a huge honour.
For fans like Ed Price, a committed shed head, one of that group of hardcore fans who occupy the Gloucester stand known as the shed - it is a dream come true.
Ed will have watched Former Gloucester captain Adam Balding play many times. Since retiring from the sport he is the cities Rugby World cup events co-ordinator - he's been busy in the community visiting places like Longlevens junior school - raising awareness of the event.
With so much riding on the success of the event, it seems that every match that its hosted, each try that is scored, will send the collective pride of the city soaring even higher.
