Goodbyes are said to Sam Amin
There were emotional scenes in Bath today as the funeral of Sam Amin took place at the city's Abbey. Hundreds of friends and family attended the service of the 18 year old. He died earlier this month after falling into the River Avon following a night out.
Led by members of his cadet band the family of Sam Amin arrived at the Abbey for a celebration of his life, though there was no hiding the grief caused by the loss of their only son.
More than 700 friends and family came to pay their respects. A service full of emotion led by the family's local vicar, the reverend Richard Wilson.
Sam's closest friends bravely stood at the front of the church to pay tribute to the 18 year old, describing him as a life long friend.
It's a little over two weeks since Sam went missing after a night out in Bath. His body was recovered from the River Avon four days later, becoming the sixth person to person to die along the stretch of river since 2009. Sam was due to start University this week but instead his family were today saying goodbye to a young man who's life was cut short.
