When Hollie Gazzard and Asher Maslin first started dating her family saw little sign of his aggressive, controlling behaviour.
But soon things started to change.
Things came to a tragic climax on evening of February the 18th. Hollie was working at Fringe Benefits hairdressing salon in Southgate street in Gloucester.
Maslin was also in the city, with murder on his mind.
CCTV footage shows him going into a store in Northgate street and trading in an item for money.
Even here there's a flash of temper as he remonstrates with the cashier for giving him too many coins instead of notes.
Then he crossed the road to another store, using the money to buy a carving knife.
At about ten to six he walked into the hair salon in Southgate street.
Hollie's death sent shockwaves through the community; she was well known, and well liked.

Asher Maslin was jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 24 years imprisonment by a judge at Gloucester Crown Court.
