Winter Olympics boost Plymouth ski slope business
Hundreds of children are trying out skiing or snowboarding at Plymouth's dry ski slope. Staff at the centre says it's the busiest they've ever known it - as the Winter Olympics combined with half term inspires more youngsters than ever to give it a go. Lessons have been sold out for weeks - staff are putting it down to the 'Jenny Jones effect'. This week they're fully booked - they've completely sold out of snowboarding and skiing lessons.
Jenny Jones won bronze at Sochi in the slope style event. Her success proves that not living near the snow, doesn't have to hamper you olympic dreams.
