New scheme to improve catch quality
Fishermen working around Lyme Bay are being given ice machines and insulated boxes to improve the quality of their catch and increase their earnings. Shops and fish markets say the sooner fish is put on ice, the longer it lasts and the better it is.
The scheme has grown out of a partnership between fishermen and conservationists who are trying to boost fish stocks and livelihoods in the bay.
