35 firefighters tackle overnight blaze in Bristol
Avon and Somerset fire and rescue service say around 35 firefighters were called to tackle the blaze at a building in Stokes Croft, in Bristol overnight.
Avon Fire & Rescue Service received numerous 999 calls reporting the fire in the three storey mid terrace property. Fire engines from Temple Fire Station were sent to the incident in the three storey mid terrace property.
In total around 35 firefighters from seven fire engines and a turntable ladder were involved at the height of the incident. A number of support vehicles, including command units were also called to scene.
Although the property was empty there were concerns it may be have used by people sleeping rough. However officers believe no one was injured by the fire.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
A stretch of the A38 was closed as crews dealt with the fire and is likely to remain shut into the morning while the stability of the building was checked by structural engineers.
