Two women have contacted Gloucestershire Police to claim they were sexually assaulted by the late TV presenter, Jimmy Savile.

One assault is alleged to have taken place in Gloucestershire. It was reported on 4th October by a woman who now lives elsewhere.

The other offence was reported on Wednesday by a resident who said she was assaulted elsewhere.

Scotland Yard is investigating allegations Savile sexually assaulted children and adults at care homes, hospitals and on BBC premises following claims made on an ITV documentary.

The inquiry into alleged child abuse by Savile is now a formal criminal investigation involving other living people.

Scotland revealed that, in just two weeks, its inquiry has identified more than 200 possible victims.
