Day 56 of torch relay: Last chance to see it in the South West
Crowds gathered all across the South West today to see the torch make its way through our region. The flame started its journey at Portland Bill just after 7am this morning. Here are some pictures of the torches journey throughout the day.
Maria Lochrie carried the Olympic torch through Weymouth. The 19-year-old is a volunteer who works with children with disabilities.
Our reporter Richard Lawrence spoke to Martin Harvey, who nominated Maria as a torchbearer.
The torch then made its way through Durdle Door in Dorset.
