Lelaina Hall: 10 year anniversary

5 year old Lelaina Hall died after drowning on the mud flats at Berrow in June 2002. In her memory thousands of pounds were donated and used to buy The Spirit of Lelaina rescue hovercraft. Ten years on and it's saved dozens of lives.

Today Lelaina's mother Caroline Hall will return to see the work of the Burnham Area Rescue Boat organisation, which runs the hovercraft. They're holding an open day to raise money and make people aware of the work they do.

So far this year they have already helped save windsurfers and swimmers who have got into trouble in the water, as well as helping people who have got trapped on the mud flats.

They have also responded to a number of call outs from motorists who have let their cars get stuck as the tides rise. Video of their rescue work can be seen here
