Devon's foster care services seeks more foster parents
Devon's foster care services have been judged 'good, with some outstanding features' in its latest Ofsted report. But it wants to provide an even better service.
That means finding more families who're prepared to take other people's children into their own home. It's a big step for anyone to take, so they invited prospective foster parents to meet other carers, and youngsters who've been fostered, to find out more.
Among those trying to encourage new foster carers to come forward was Jay Passmore. He was taken into care at ten. Two foster families couldn't cope with his behaviour, then another carer had to call the police.
Now Jay is a trainee with the Devon fostering team in Exeter with every prospect of a happy and fulfilling life ahead.
