Man dies at Glastonbury Festival after suffering severe burns

A man who was airlifted to hospital after suffering significant burns at the Glastonbury Festival site, has died.

Emergency services were called to Worthy Farm yesterday evening, after reports a man in his 20s was on fire.

Police say the death is being treated as unexplained.

Gates open to the public tomorrow before the festival officially begins on Friday, with Muse, Adele and Coldplay all headlining.

We were called by the fire service after reports of a man on fire at the Glastonbury Festival site at about 5.20pm last night.

The man suffered serious burns and was taken by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

He was transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he sadly later died.

The man's family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.
