Lee Haskins retains IBF bantamweight title
Lee Haskins has retained his IBF world bantamweight title with a unanimous points win over Ivan Morales in Cardiff.
The 32 year old from Bristol had almost complete control from the start and his superiority was reflected on the cards of the three judges, who scored it 119-108, 118-110,118-110 in Haskins' favour.
Haskins was making his first title defence after being crowned champion in a rather unsatisfactory fashion last November. Randy Caballero was stripped of the belt after coming in over five pounds above the 118lbs bantamweight limit. Haskins has had to wait since then to prove himself in the ring.
Haskins said: "It's absolutely amazing. I'm flying at the moment."
He now wants an all-British title fight with former IBF champion Stuart Hall, who lost to Haskins in 2012.
