A disciplinary report into Somerset's Chief Constable will be published today.

An independent panel has decided that Nick Gargan should receive a final written warning after being found guilty of eight charges of misconduct.

Details of what these are will be given by crime commissioner Sue Mountstevens, who will announce what punishment she is imposing.

The Avon and Somerset Police Federation says it has no confidence in Mr Gargan.

There has been growing pressure for him to step down after he was found guilty of eight misconduct charges last month. More than a thousand people have signed a petition calling on him to resign.
