Radstock girl scales the height of Everest
A 12-year-old from Somerset may have climbed her way into the record books. Emma Welch from Radstock challenged herself to scale an indoor climbing wall enough times to equal the height of Mount Everest.
She said she was inspired to do it by her church minister who is living with a brain tumour. So Emma, who herself has scoliosis, spent months training for the adventure to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. Laura Makin-Isherwood saw Emma achieve her goal.
