Jeremy Corbyn celebrates with new Bristol Mayor
Jeremy Corbyn joined in the celebrations as Labour's Marvin Rees was elected Bristol Mayor.
The leader of the Labour Party made the journey from London, to congratulate Mr. Rees and emphasise his support for the man who beat George Ferguson by 29,000 votes.
Watch Marvin Rees' one minute manifesto below:
After three and a half years in office, George Ferguson announced that he will quit politics. On Friday tweeted that "he may get his life back", and ahead of the vote he wished Bristol Rovers good luck, saying "I hope you do better than me":
While George Ferguson was a rather divisive figure, as an Independent Mayor, many are sorry to see him go.
