Trowbridge boxer remains in coma after British Middleweight defeat
Trowbridge boxer, Nick Blackwell remains in a coma after suffering bleeding to the brain following his defeat to Chris Eubank Jr on Saturday.>The British middleweight title bout was stopped in the 10th round after the ringside doctor advised the referee Blackwell was unable to see through his left eye.>Blackwell was later carried out on a stretcher and taken to hospital, where the 25-year-old remained under observation on Sunday morning.
The referee's decision not to halt proceedings earlier has been criticised by the Brain Injury Association.
However the British Boxing Board say they see nothing wrong with the way that Nick Blackwell's bout with Chris Eubank Junior was handled.>Robert Smith from the Bristol Boxing Board of Control says they're sitting tight waiting for an update on his condition.
Meanwhile, some of the biggest names in boxing have shown their support for Blackwell.
It'll be an anxious wait for Blackwell's family, friends and boxing fans alike.
