The first national centre for training disabled musicians could be coming to Bristol. The proposal is part of Bristol Music Trust's £45 million transformation of the Colston Hall. >The idea could help around 2,500 musicians with special education needs and disabilities nationwide and set a new national benchmark for music accessibility.

If realised, the Centre would become the 13th facility in the UK that provides specialist training for ambitious young musicians.

None currently exist which are designed to accommodate people with special education needs and disabilities .

The current facilities at Bristol's Colston Hall are out of date and inaccessible to disabled people. >The future fully accessible education and concert hall facilities will exceed anything previously built in the UK.
