Major Valleys road still closed after lorry fire

The busy Heads Of The Valleys Road is closed in both directions from the Cefn Coed Roundabout to the Dowlais Top Roundabout after a lorry fire.

Firefighters are dampening down the lorry, which was carrying tyres.

The road will remain closed until Friday morning, whilst clean up takes place and 170 meters of road is resurfaced

The diversion is via the A470 to Pentrebach and then the A4060 to Dowlais Top and visa versa.
