Although Denbighshire remains a council with no overall control, the Conservatives have gained nine extra seats. Labour lost five and the independents six. Plaid Cymru and the Liberal Democrats have each gained a seat.
Labour has suffered bruising losses in Wales, but the Conservatives failed to make as many gains as expected.
Despite some serious losses, Welsh Labour performed better than they'd feared in areas expected to be General Election battlegrounds.
