Jordan Davidson has been charged with the murder of Nicholas Churton at his home in Crescent Close, Wrexham.
The 27-year-old also been charged with three counts of robbery, two burglary offences, an attempt to inflict grievous bodily harm on a police officer and assaulting a police officer.
This enquiry, which was launched on Monday morning, has involved significant police resources to investigate numerous serious offences. We have been working closely with the Crown Prosecution Service throughout this week and we have to date presented an evidential file to them. They have concluded that sufficient evidence is available to charge Davidson with these offences and he will be remanded in Police custody. The family of Nicholas Churton have been informed of this decision as have the other victims in this enquiry.
I appeal for continued support as this investigation will continue over many weeks. I would urge anyone who may not have felt comfortable in speaking to us to do so now. This can be in confidence if they wish.
