Driver arrested after falling traffic light kills pedestrian

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a man was killed by a falling traffic light in Gorseinon.

The incident occurred on Gorseinon High Street at 16:15 on Friday.

A 55-year-old male pedestrian, was killed when a traffic light fell on him after they were hit by a BMW, has been named by police as Gerald Macey.

A 21-year-old man, from the Uplands area of Swansea, remains in Police custody.
