Cardiff drug dealers jailed for four-and-a-half years

Two Cardiff drug dealers, who crashed their van as they tried to escape from police, have been jailed.

Husseiin Mursal and Said Yusuf, both 26, have been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison after being arrested by plain clothed police officers.

They were seen dealing drugs from a silver Berlingo mini van on Moria Place in the Roath area.

When they spotted the police they tried to escape. They crashed into a parked car before getting their vehicle stuck between a police vehicle and bollards.

Heroin and crack cocaine were seized at the scene by officers.

These men were caught red handed selling class A drugs on the streets of Cardiff.

They have continually lied about their involvement in drug dealing but the jury saw right through them.

Crack and heroin does untold damage to communities and I hope the sentences imposed deters others from following their path.

I also hope this sentence and the story behind it reassures the local community that we are actively tackling drug dealers every day on the streets of Cardiff.
