A&E in Wales 'in a state of crisis,' say senior doctors

A senior Welsh doctor has told ITV Wales that Accident & Emergency units across Wales are in a "state of crisis." Dr Robin Roop of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in Wales says patient safety is compromised and staff are struggling to cope.

Our National Health Service has been making headlines for months and this week is no exception.

Last night we brought you the news that emergency care in Wales is considered to be in a state of crisis by some doctors.

But today the health secretary refused to accept that claim and insisted that the system is coping.

ITV Wales News has been to one A&E department in Wrexham to hear the concerns there.
