'Meteor' footage taking internet by storm

Footage of a possible meteor in the sky over Penarth seafront is being shared online.

This video, posted to twitter by @MarkJamesWorks, appears to show a glowing object lighting up the evening sky. Others have also shared videos of the sighting.

The end of October is marked by the Orionid meteor shower, though there is the possibility that the object could simply be a flare or similar.

Another theory is that it could be a hoax or publicity stunt.
