A tribute to murdered schoolgirl April Jones has been repeatedly stolen from Machynlleth's town centre.

The pink ribbon was tied to railings ever since the five year old was abducted by Mark Bridger in October 2012. In 2013 Bridger was given a whole life sentence for her abduction and murder.

But in recent months the ribbon has repeatedly been taken, leaving April's family upset:

Please, whoever it is that keeps taking April's pink bow off the railings by the clock please stop.

It is upsetting sometimes that some people can be cruel.

– Coral Jones, April's Mother

Dyfed Powys Police have told ITV News that officers are aware.

The news comes in the same week that April's family have launched a new appeal to stamp out online abuse images.
