Teenager airlifted to hospital after Snowdonia fall
A 19-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after suffering head, back and shoulder injuries following a fall in Snowdonia.
The teenager fell 15ft from a footpath on to rocks at a beauty spot near Betws y Coed.
An ambulance service paramedic was called and a dozen Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team volunteers were needed to set up a rope system and stretcher her up from the Fairy Glen gorge.
A coastguard rescue helicopter from Caernarfon was later sent to airlift the injured woman to hospital.
