Welsh athletes end Rio Olympics with record-breaking 10 medals

Team GB's Welsh athletes have ended their time at Rio with a record-breaking haul of 10 Olympic medals, including four golds.

It's the best ever performance of Welsh athletes in an Olympic games, surpassing the 7 medals secured at London 2012.

Team GB athletes prepare for Olympic homecoming

Team GB's record breaking athletes will arrive back in the UK later today to a hero's welcome.

Great Britain secured a total of 67 medals at the Games in Rio, finishing second in the medals table ahead of China and surpassing the number of medals won in London four years ago by two.

Athletes from Wales also achieved their best ever Olympic tally, bringing home 10 medals across a range of sports including sailing, cycling and rowing.
