21 appliances and 100 personnel were on site dealing with the incident at its height.
Fire crews say the incident is particularly complex as it involves deep seated fires within a large quantity of waste tyres
The smoke plume is being monitored closely by Natural Resources Wales and Public Health Wales using the National Air Quality Network monitoring systems and staff on site.
The systems currently show no sign of any significant change in air quality in the area.
Cordons are in place around the incident and members of the public are advised to stay clear of the area.
