Appeal after night-time sexual assault on woman

Gwent Police is appealing for information after a sexual assault on a woman was reported.

Police say the incident was reported as taking place in the area of Old Pant Road, between Hazlewood Drive and Coronation Crescent, Newbridge, between 10pm and 11pm on Tuesday 26th January 2016.

The suspect was described as male, over 5ft 8” tall, wearing dark clothing and a coat which had fur around the hood.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have been in the area during that time.
