The incident happened at Troedyrhiw railway station near Merthyr at around 9.40pm on Monday, 10th August.

Police say the victim was approached by a man who made a number of sexually explicit comments and she immediately walked away but the man followed.

She continued to try getting away from him but he followed her into a shelter where he grabbed her waist and tried kissing her.

At this stage, the victim pushed him away and the man finally walked off and left the station.

This was, quite clearly, a traumatic incident for the victim, who was alone at the time and was left extremely disturbed and frightened by the man’s actions.

British Transport Police says the man is white, around 5ft 11in, in his early 20s, of slim build, and we believe he may possibly be known as Dan.
