RSPCA warn: poisoned sausages left out for pets

The RSPCA are issuing a warning after reports of poisoned sausages being left out for animals.

The animal protection charity is asking owners to be extra vigilant after the tainted meat was discovered in Towyn, a seaside town in Denbighshire. Warning pet owners on its facebook page, the Bryn-y-Maen branch said:

It has been brought to our attention that poisoned sausage has been left out for animals in the Towyn area. Please keep an close eye on your dogs while walking and monitor any outdoor cats for any signs that they may have been poisoned.

If you suspect that your pet may have been poisoned please get them to a vet as soon as possible - any delay could cost your pet it's life!
