Two men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary following an incident in Aberdare this morning. Armed police were called to the John Street area where the two suspects were hiding in a house.

South Wales Police says it has received reports of someone making threats with a firearm in the area. A police spokesman says armed officers have been sent as a precaution.
