Dame Shirley Bassey has arrived at the Children's Hospital for Wales to be honoured for her work as patron.

The hospital says its main thoroughfare is to be renamed as 'Dame Shirley Bassey Way' in recognition of the legendary singer's commitment to the hospital.

The singer has been touring the new £64m second phase hospital and meeting children and staff.

"As a Patron of Noah's Ark, it has been wonderful for me to follow the story of this vital national charity, a high point of which is this iconic building which is our national children's hospital. I have always given my unwavering support to Noah's Ark and the thousands of children the hospital receives every year".
