A spokesperson for the Celtic Manor has commented on the death of a man in hospital after his vehicle went into a lake at the resort this morning.
The Celtic Manor Resort is deeply saddened to confirm that a fatal accident took place on its Twenty Ten Course at around 7.50am on Tuesday 3rd March.
The incident is subject to an ongoing investigation which the Celtic Manor Resort is co-operating with fully.
The Resort is unable to comment further at this stage. Our thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.
Gwent Police and a health & safety team from Newport City Council are investigating the incident.
