Man, 72, dies after falling from boat
A pensioner has died after falling into the water off Lavernock Point near Penarth earlier today. Two lifeboats and a helicopter were sent to rescue him but he later passed away in hospital.

A 72-year-old man is critical in hospital after falling from a boat near Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan.
RNLI lifeboats and a Sea King helicopter were called to the scene off Lavernock Point just after midday.
The man was brought to shore and taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. It's understood his family are at his bedside.
Rain clipping the far north through the evening but elsewhere staying dry with some sunny spells.
Public Health Wales figures show 25 more cases of the virus have also been confirmed.
