Wales' first ever 'quit shop' has opened in Cwmbran, encouraging and supporting smokers to give up tobacco.
The shop, which opens its doors in Cwmbran shopping centre, offers free advice and support as well as information on prescription medicine to help smokers kick the habit.
The quit shop is one of a number of new services being made available to smokers this year in Wales. Others include two mobile units which will tour the country giving stop smoking advice, and a new online quitting tool will be introduced to help smokers stop within 28 days.
The shop will be open from Monday to Friday from 9am until 5.30pm, with Saturday openings planned from next month.
The new Stop Smoking Wales 'quit shop offers free, professional and convenient support to anyone wishing to give up smoking...The shop works on a drop-in basis very much like an other retail outlet in Cwmbran shopping centre and we would urge smokers to call-in to take a look around."
