Boxer McGoldrick settles for Bronze after stoppage
Newport's Sean McGoldrick had to settle for a boxing bronze this afternoon, after his 56kg semi-final bout with Northern Ireland's Michael Conlan was stopped at the end of the second round.
The Irishman suffered a significant cut above his eye after the pair clashed heads. The match went to points, with the man from Belfast going through after an impressive first round.
The bronze now means Team Wales have secured 29 medals at this years' Commonwealth Games.
