Swanland inquest: Verdict of death by misadventure
An inquest jury has returned a verdict of death by misadventure on six Russian crewmen who drowned when their cargo ship sank off the north Wales coast in November 2011.
Swanland cargo ship inquest to open in Caernarfon
An inquest into the deaths of six men who died when a cargo ship sank off the Llyn Peninsula opens in Caernarfon this morning.
The Swanland sank in 2011 after suffering a 'catastrophic structural failure.'
Accident investigators said it had been weakened by corrosion and hadn't been properly maintained.
