A mother whose daughter was found dead almost two years ago will protest outside her local council offices today after criticising a report into her death.

Fourteen-year-old Seren Bernard was in the care of Pembrokeshire social services when she died in April 2012.

Since then, *a report concluded *Seren's death may not have been prevented even if more steps had been taken to help her.

Seren's mother, Sarah Pollock, described the report as a 'disgrace' and is calling for an independent review into the case.

A spokesperson for Pembrokeshire Council said:

"We appreciate the deep emotion of Mrs Pollock as a bereaved parent.

"The independent reports that have been completed by external experts into the tragic loss of her daughter have concluded that it would remain uncertain as to whether there were any steps that, if taken, could have prevented her death.

"At present the matter is still before HM Coroner and it would be inappropriate to comment further."
